To secure customer's interaction media and transcription data, the Verint Cloud interaction capture uses a third-party Key Management System (KMS). Encryption requires two keys, a Key Encryption Key (KEK) and a Data Encryption Key (DEK). The KEK is used to encrypt and decrypt the Data Encryption Key (DEK). The DEK is used to encrypt and decrypt the customer's interaction media and transcription data. Customers can choose to allow Verint to manage both keys or they can bring their own KEK. Using the Key Management System (KMS) supported by the Verint Cloud platform, customers create, import, and manage their own Key Encryption Key (KEK).
Currently, most Verint Cloud platforms support AWS Key Management Service (AWS KMS). To confirm which service is available in the customer's system, contact Support.
