Delete a user

Deleting a user in Identity Management removes their provisioned account and profile from Verint Identity Management.

Only Verint Identity Management administrators can delete user profiles in Identity Management.

An administrator cannot delete, deactivate, or activate their own profile.

SCIM synchronization

If your IdP uses the System for Cross-domain Identity Management (SCIM) and synchronizes user account deletions to Identity Management, you do not need to delete a user manually from the Identity Management portal. When you delete the user in your IdP, synchronization deletes the user from Identity Management automatically.

If you need to recreate a user account in your IdP, wait at least one hour between deleting the old account and creating the new account to allow your IdP to synchronize with Identity Management. If your IdP does not synchronize the account deletion before the new account is created, the user may experience issues signing in.

With SCIM automatic provisioning, if you delete a user manually from Identity Management but not your IdP, the next time your IdP synchronizes with Verint Identity, the user's profile is recreated in Identity Management.
