Modify a user

All users can change the information stored in their own Verint Identity Management profile. Verint Identity Management administrators also modify information for other users, updating details such as their user name, email address, or phone number.

Only Verint Identity Management administrators can modify the profiles of other users.

If Identity Management synchronizes user details automatically from an Identity Provider (IdP), user names in Identity Management match the user names held by the IdP.

However, if you need to change a user name in your IdP and create a new user to accommodate the change, synchronization with Identity Management can fail. Identity Management rejects the change because the profile for the user already exists. To resolve the issue, update the Identity Management user profile manually.

Procedure 1

  1. Under User Management, select Users.

  2. From the list of users, locate the user and select their user name.

    Each user name links to the information that a Verint Identity Management administrator can view or edit for a user.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. Make the required changes to the user properties.

  5. Select Save.

Procedure 2

  1. Under User Management, select Users.

  2. In the list of users, move the cursor to the row for the user.

  3. Under Actions, select the edit option (pencil icon).

  4. Make the required changes to the user properties.

  5. Select Save.
