Import users from a CSV file

Importing user data from a comma-separated values (CSV) file is a quick and easy way to create Verint Identity Management profiles for up to 5,000 users (maximum 10 MB of data). The Import Users wizard converts data from the uploaded CSV file into individual user profiles.

Only Verint Identity Management administrators can use the Import Users wizard to upload user data.

To create user profiles successfully, the wizard requires a CSV file with formatted headers, columns, and fields corresponding to the set of data in a user profile. To help you create a valid CSV file, the wizard includes a template for you to download and complete.

Before you begin

  1. Create a CSV file for importing user data

  2. Sign in to the Identity Management portal

Procedure

  1. Under User Management, select Users.

  2. Select Import users.

  3. Select Browse, locate the CSV file, and select Open.

A green tick indicates that the uploaded file has the extension .csv, and that the file does not exceed 5000 users or 10 MB. The wizard does not validate the CSV file content until it is imported.

Upload CSV option in the Import Users wizard

  4. Select Import. The Import Summary provides an import status based on the total number of users in the uploaded file.
